Hmm.. Exam in wednesday. lots of pages of Robotics textbook haven’t covered yet. Oh please.. help me God!

So this morning i supposed to have the quiz retake. After fully groom myself, i went to school. It was 7.45 am. I saw a 179 bus approaching bus stop accross the street, i cant cross since few cars are passing the street on my side. I looked at people at the bus stop, Shoot.. none of them waving their hand. Thank God, the bus somehow stops. I quickly run to the bus. I tap the my ez link card and say thanks to the driver. I say thanks to the bus driver because i think he did see me running and wait until i board the bus.

The TV Mobile on the bus was showing ChannelNews Asia’s Good Morning Singapore. Not many interesting news though. I only saw glimpses of preparation for Champions League Match by Liverpool and Chelsea.

I arrive at campus around 8 am. I quickly settle down in the bench in front of SCE’s General Office. I started reading tutorial answers (which i copy from Raihan :D) and the tiny notes that i made myself. Reading .. reading .. reading .. then "Hmm… the answer for tutorial 3 is not complete." I sms Anita asking whether she will come to the campus and ask her to bring the tutorial answer if she indeed going to come to campus. She reply my sms saying that she has sent the soft copy to my gmail account. "Oscar’s", she said. Anyway, thank you Anita, Oscar.

930 am I walk to Benjamin’s office. Two doors from his office, I see Benjamin coming out from the Meeting Room with a cup of tea.

"Hi, I’m Hardono, Sir."
"Oh.. you’re the guy that fell asleep".

"Yes, Sir. Where are we going to have the quiz?".
"Have you read your email? I told you that the quiz will be shifted to Wednesday 9.15 am"

"Well, i read it last night. I didn’t see any new email from you".
"Hmm.. i don’t know. I sent it yesterday morning. Anyway, its only 50% for the total mark. Its your fault anyway."

"Yes, Sir. I’ll see you tomorrow".

Yaay.. at least i’ll have more time to study.

This album is the latest album from Dewa which -as always- difficult for me to digest. When hearing it for the first time, my reaction was "OMG, what the hell are you messing with Dewa’s music, Dhani???". I felt the songs are too cheapskate, too market oriented. I missed the old Dewa with songs like in "Terbaik-Terbaik" Album. I still considered "Terbaik-Terbaik" as their masterpiece album.

After bored myself with Laskar Cinta for 2 days straight, i started to catch the beauty of this album. I corrected myself for hating Dhani because i noticed that this album has a very religious lyrics. I think Dewa’s music has really matured. This album still talk about love -Dewa’s main theme- but it has shifted the love to the opposite sex into more love into the Creator, God.

These are the summary of the songs:

Pangeran Cinta. This song is about eternal love that will not destroyed even when this universe perish. Some said that this song about the love from Prophet Muhammad to his ummah. I knew that Prophet Muhammad will always give his blessing to all muslims and he will make sure that even the last muslim with the smallest amount of faith will be elevated to Paradise from Hell. I think the Christians can also apply the eternal love thing to Jesus.

Atas Nama Cinta. The song actually can be represented by one sentence "Don’t use Lord’s name in vain".

Satu. This song portrays how close and personal a person to his Creator. This song also highlight that the ultimate love should be love to the Creator. The lyrics mention "Aku ini .. adalah diriMu. Cinta ini … adalah cintaMu. Aku ini .. adalah diriMu. Jiwa ini … adalah jiwaMu". But i think Dewa only trying to say that everything is belong to God, the Almighty.

Indonesia Saja. This song is about the unification of races in Indonesia. We should not say that we’re Javanese, Chinese, Acehnese or other race. We should simply identify ourself as Indonesians. I think this song came too late. It should have appeared before the bloodbath in Kalimantan (between Maduranese and Dayaks) or in Ambon (between Muslims and Christians).

Sweetest Place. This song created by Once, i think he tried to portray the Heaven. Very interesting song and its in the only song with fully English lyrics.

Hidup Ini Indah. This song is about how life is going to be beautiful if we always put ourself beside God. I think the only way to put ourself beside God is to do everything that God permitted us to do and never forget to recite God’s name before we start any activity.

Cinta Gila. This song will sang proudly by the obsessive megalomaniac. Thank God i’m not. Well, i think i’m not

Nonsense. This song might talk about the nonsense religious debate. This song heavily stressed that the ultimate truth is the existence of God.

Hadapi Dengan Senyuman. My favorite song. The Islamic term for this song is Tawakkal. Everything that happen in this life has its own meaning. This song immediately become my favorite because i was a little bit down that time.

Matahari Bintang Bulan. This song is for those lovebirds out there. Newlyweds also can make this song as their life’s soundtrack. The music is slightly unusual since it is slightly Blues with all the trumpets sound.

Aku Tetaplah Aku. I still dont get this song. It might be about we should keep our identity no matter what happen. The music is very grunge indeed.

Shine On. This song is promoting tolerance. I think this song should be played anywhere which has fanatics group with opposite ideas.

That’s all i guess. I think you should buy this album because in its own way, i still considered it as one of Dewa’s masterpieces. Currently i’m listening through mp3 (yes, i shamely copied this album from my friend’s computer). I will definitely buy this album when i return to Indonesia.
